A Cuban sparks debate on TikTok after sharing "the negative side" of his job at Walmart.

The video ended with him saying that if asked, he would share the positive side.

The young Cuban Edgy, who lives in Nebraska, has sparked a heated debate on TikTok after posting a video in which he referred to the negative aspects of his night shift job at Walmart.

In response to a comment that criticized what he had said in a previous video (the third in a series discussing his job), the TikToker @edgy.mp3 decided to clarify some points about his work.

In his first video, he had shown his nighttime routine working at Walmart in what he considers the worst job of all: "arranging juices and milks inside the refrigerator." On that occasion, he humorously said that he always rushed to finish quickly: "I'm not a penguin to be stuck in there," and he detailed not only what he had to do but also what it entailed to work in those low temperatures.

After this video, a user commented: "The worst job? You should be grateful to have a job," which prompted @edgy.mp3 to decide to respond with a new video where, after confessing to be "really grateful" for his job, he referred to the negative aspects because "not everything is rosy."

In his response, he stated that Walmart employees do not have any holidays, nor do they receive an extra bonus for working on special dates.

The second point he highlighted was the lack of growth opportunities within the company: "You will always have the same salary and the same position, no matter how efficient you are; to the company, you are just another worker," he said.

Finally, he criticized what he considers a demotivating practice, as instead of receiving recognition for his efficiency, the only "reward" he gets is being assigned more work: "The better you do your job, the more work they give you. If you are fast and do everything perfectly, the only way they reward you is by giving you even more tasks."

This second response video, for its part, has also unleashed a large number of reactions among TikTok users, with many agreeing that the conditions are not the best. "I work at Walmart and honestly, you can't get ahead; you kill yourself and they don't even value your work," said a user to which the creator replied: "Yes, just like that."

Other users also shared their viewpoints: "I work at Walmart and everything you said is true"; "Everything you've said is true. I love doing my job well and now I do the work of two people. The good thing is that I can change my days off and they give me permission to go on vacation"; "I also work at Walmart at night and wow, we Latinos suffer from racism... I will leave soon, God willing"; "You work so hard and they don’t value you"; "I share your feelings, you are very right in what you say, and one more point you missed, it doesn’t matter how good you are, if someone else comes in who is liked better, they get the 40 hours even if you deserve them"; "I work at Walmart on the night shift and I 100% agree with you, others commented.

Despite the criticisms, some users defended the company's policies and conditions or disagreed with the words of the young TikToker: "Walmart offers you many job opportunities, it pays for school, it pays for school to drive Walmart trucks, among other well-paid positions"; "I started at Walmart without knowing English, without experience in stores, and years later I am a coach and my salary is very good"; "Every so often they raise your salary, and if there are holidays like Thanksgiving or Christmas, they look after each worker, and if you do well, they offer you better positions"; "Yeah, but who expects to stay at a job for 25 years? The idea is to improve yourself, build your capital, start your own business, or study, and everything you say is not true, they raise your salary every 6 months," they added.

At the end of the video, @edgy.mp3 invited his followers to leave in the comments if they wanted to know the positive side he saw of working at Walmart, making it clear that, despite the difficulties, he also values the good aspects of his job.
