A traffic accident occurred this Friday in the municipality of Regla, in Havana, where a motorcyclist and a cyclist collided on 24 de Febrero street, according to reports on social media.
The incident occurred around 10 a.m., and the motorcyclist had serious injuries, including nasal bleeding, according to a post by user Yucimí Duarte in the Facebook group "ACCIDENTES BUSES & CAMIONES por más experiencia y menos víctimas!".
Duarte added that the cyclist is a man who sharpens scissors and knives in the town. "They took him away badly injured."
Meanwhile, the profile called La Tijera stated that the injured were immediately transferred to the "Lidia y Clodomira" Polyclinic in the locality, although they have not been able to be taken to a hospital due to a lack of ambulances.
So far, the exact causes of the accident are unknown, although the presence of a large hole in the road is noted as a possible determining factor.
A motorist lost their life on Sunday in an accident that occurred on the Vía Blanca, at the height of Guanabo, in the capital municipality of Habana del Este.
His companion, a 25-year-old young woman, had to be transferred to the hospital but remains out of danger, according to reports on social media. Apparently, the young people were returning from the activities for the "end of summer in Varadero."
While the section of the Central Highway that runs from Ciego de Ávila to Camagüey was once again the focus of a regrettable news story about accidents in Cuba, on Thursday a bus from the Tourism Transport Company (TRANSTUR) went off the road and ended up crashed into a tree.
