Cuban woman kneels on the steps of the Church of the Virgin of Charity of Cobre with a girl in her arms.

The woman, with a young girl, climbed the 254 steps that separate the temple from the street.

An emotional video went viral in just a few hours, showing a Cuban woman kneeling while carrying a child in her arms as she climbed the stairs of the Church of the Virgin of Charity of El Cobre in Santiago de Cuba.

Ihamet Aguilar Corde shared a video on TikTok this Monday where it can be seen that she is fulfilling a promise to the Patroness of Cuba, as she climbs the staircase leading to the Catholic temple on her knees, which has received more than 21,000 reactions in less than 48 hours.

Although the publication does not provide any details, it is inferred that she is holding her young daughter while performing the feat of climbing the more than 250 steps that this access to the sanctuary has.

In the video, during that painful moment, two people can be seen walking next to the woman to ensure that the little one she is holding does not suffer any accidents.

In July, another Cuban shared an emotional video in which she is seen arriving on her knees to the Virgin of Charity of Copper at the shrine in Miami, thus fulfilling a promise she had made.

"I asked you on my knees, and I'm fulfilling it on my knees," pointed out the young woman who responds to the user @fernandez_1996_ on TikTok.

A Cuban family, dressed in yellow, went to the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Charity of El Cobre in Santiago de Cuba in June to fulfill a promise made to the holy image, for whom they prayed for a successful exit from the country.

Betsy González Tallo shared a video on Facebook explaining that a year and a half ago, her mother and grandmother promised the Virgin to let her hair grow and to offer it as a gift when she returned to Cuba.

Another Cuban who climbed the steps of the church of El Cobre was Luis Rubén González, who shared on TikTok the emotional moment when he fulfilled his promise to the Patroness of Cuba for arriving in the United States.
