Cuban reunites with his grandparents on the island after "more than 5 years asking God to be able to see them again."

"To embrace them again is all that is necessary to keep fighting and to know that every sacrifice has not been in vain."

A young Cuban resident in the United States, identified on TikTok as @yandribarreras675, has touched thousands of users on social media with the video of his reunion with his grandparents in Cuba after more than five years of separation.

In the emotional clip, which already has more than 4600 likes and hundreds of comments, the young man is seen hugging his grandparents with deep emotion, while the images are accompanied by the message: "More than 5 years asking God to be able to see them again."

The video of this young Cuban barber's reunion with his grandparents has touched the hearts of many compatriots, both inside and outside the island, who shared their empathy and nostalgia in the comments: "What luck you have to still have them"; "I got a lump in my throat. I pray for the same thing to my little God every day"; "That's how I pray to God to hug my mom tomorrow"; "I also pray daily to be able to see mine." Others highlighted the humility of the young man's grandparents, with one comment stating: "undoubtedly, people from the countryside are too humble," to which the creator of the video responded: "those from the countryside are the most humble and healthiest version of a Cuban."

Messages from people who, unfortunately, have not been able to reunite with their family members were also present: "I went 2 months ago, I would have given my life to hug my dad like that, but I had to visit him in a cold grave," commented a user.

The creator of the video has responded to many of these messages, sending blessings and showing gratitude and happiness for having been able to make the dream of seeing them come true: "I won't have enough life to thank those old folks for all their love and affection"; "No amount of money compares to seeing your loved ones again"; "I lived with that uncertainty for more than 5 years and life gifted me that moment I asked for so much"; "Getting to hug them again is all I need to keep fighting and knowing that every sacrifice has not been in vain," he said among the many responses he left in comments, which also included words of encouragement for those longing to experience their beloved reunions.

The video has generated a wave of emotions and reflects a shared feeling among Cubans who have had to emigrate, leaving their loved ones behind. This reunion has been a balm not only for the creator of the video but also for all those who dream of hugging their family members again.
