Georgia judge dismisses two charges against Donald Trump.

This case is one of the several legal fronts that the Republican candidate faces in the upcoming presidential elections, including the trial in Washington D.C. for his role in the attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 elections.

A judge in Georgia dismissed two charges on Thursday in the legal proceedings against former President Donald Trump for alleged interference in the 2020 elections, in which he lost to the current U.S. president, Joe Biden.

Judge Scott McAffee also dismissed a third case against other defendants in the same process, ruling that state prosecutors did not have the authority to bring three charges related to the alleged submission of false documents in a federal court, accepting Trump’s defense motion.

However, McAffee maintained the organized crime charge, allowing that investigation to continue.

Trump and his 14 co-defendants have pleaded not guilty, while his defense has described the accusations as part of a "witch hunt."

This case is one of several legal fronts facing the Republican candidate for the presidential elections on November 5, including the trial in Washington D.C. for his role in the attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 elections, according to the EFE agency.

Previously, Florida Judge Ailenn Cannon dismissed the case against Trump for taking confidential documents from the White House.

The magnate was found guilty by a jury in New York on 34 charges including tax fraud and manipulation of accounting records to cover up a sexual scandal.

However, a judge decided to postpone the ruling related to the payments made to actress Stormy Daniels to keep her silent before the 2016 elections.

The new date set is November 26, after the presidential elections, unless the case is dismissed beforehand, according to Telemundo 51.

Trump will face Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate, in the upcoming elections.
