"Calvario and Heredia, Santiago de Cuba. With an injured person in life-threatening condition. Disregard for the 'Stop' sign," indicated a user of the Facebook group 'Accidentes Buses & Camiones'.

According to the author of the publication, the injured person was "a girl who was beaten; but the attending doctors say that her life is not in danger."

Several internet users pointed out that the vehicles traveling on Calvario Street have the right of way. The author of the post indicated that it was "the truck" that was going in that direction.

Calvario Street in Santiago de Cuba records a striking number of accidents. Several intersections along it are considered to be high risk for vehicular traffic.

At the end of July, a traffic accident that occurred at the intersection of Calvario and San Francisco streets, in the historic center of Santiago de Cuba, left multiple injured.

The incident, which occurred between a bus and a vehicle carrying a coffin in the back, left several injured, who were transported to the hospitals in the city.

At the beginning of the same month, a woman was seriously injured after suffering a traffic accident on the Suzuki motorcycle she was riding. The incident involved the motorcycle and a "almendrón" at the intersection of Calvario and San Francisco streets.

At the end of April, two motorcycles collided at the dangerous corner of San Francisco and Calvario, causing injuries to the people involved in the accident.
