With the hope of impressing scouts and securing a new professional contract, Cuban Pedro Pablo Revilla will showcase his potential before several Major League Baseball organizations in the Dominican Republic.

According to journalist Francys Romero on the social network Facebook, the player from Guantánamo will have a showcase in front of several scouts on September 24 at Nova Academy, located in the city of San Cristóbal.

The first baseman -who also has limited experience in the outfield- has improved his physique and has in his favor the fact that he is considered an international free agent, having turned 25 and with six or more seasons in the island.

Revilla, linked since 2022 with the Japanese organization of the Chunichi Dragons, added his name in 2023 to a long list of Cuban talents who decided to seek better horizons.

This was made known at that time by the Cuban Baseball Federation through a statement in which it stated that once he completed his season with the aforementioned Japanese team, the player from Guantánamo "prematurely left that country, in relation to what was agreed with the club, and did not return to Cuba."

Revilla became known in the island baseball scene after leading the home run hitters of the 61st National Series, with a total of 26 hits beyond the park's boundaries (previously he had only connected nine in four sporadic game contests), in addition to averaging .313 and tallying 55 runs batted in.
