Thief gets trapped in a Corvette in Miami and asks the car owner for help to get out.

The singular incident occurred at the beginning of this week.

The owner of a Corvette in Miami Beach experienced an unusual moment when he discovered a man trapped inside his car, who asked him for help to get out.

“Friend, this is not your car, it's mine,” Julio Solano, the owner of the vehicle, told 33-year-old Ravesh Rabindranauth when he found him in his car.

"Can I go out?" asked Rabindranauth while Solano recorded him with his cell phone.

"No, you can't. We're going to call the police," Solano responded.

Solano explained to Local 10 that he was surprised to return to his car after having breakfast on Monday morning and finding Rabindranauth sitting inside asking for help.

The incident occurred in a parking lot at the intersection of Washington Avenue and 16th Street in Miami Beach.

The alleged thief upon being arrested

The local police arrived at the scene and arrested Rabindranauth, who faces charges of theft.

Julio Solano believes that, although Rabindranauth managed to get into the vehicle, he could not start it or escape due to the car's security system.

"Electric systems do not work without the keys, and luckily, he didn't realize that there was a manual door opening under the seat," Solano explained.

The authorities indicated that Solano notified the owner of Premiere Auto Miami 1, a company that rents exotic cars and stores vehicles in that garage.

The agents reported that Rabindranauth was informed of his rights and agreed to speak with them. A background check revealed no criminal records or active warrants against him.

Rabindranauth is detained at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center (TGK) and was granted a bail of $2,500 for the charge of stealing an unoccupied vehicle.
