Marianela Ancheta became Miss Universe Cuba this week, the candidate who will proudly represent the name of the island internationally in the Miss Universe 2024 competition to be held next November in Mexico City.
After being crowned beauty queen, the young woman who came representing the Central Region, confessed to Telemundo the emotions that overwhelmed her at that moment.
"My God, for me this is an honor, I still can't believe it. Cuba is going to make history after 57 years. This is the new history of Cuban women, all those girls who look at me, who grew up like I did, this is their moment," said Marianela.
"Cuba is going to have a voice on such a big platform as Miss Universe. I truly thank all the people who have supported me. This is a dream come true," the young woman assured.
Marianela Ancheta won the title of Miss Universe Cuba after competing with 23 other candidates.
The 31-year-old woman was born in Villa Clara and, in addition to having a career as a model and being the face of several brands, she is an entrepreneur and businesswoman, and has her own line of skincare products.
