Cuban from Florida shows his flooded house in the midst of Hurricane Helene: “Total loss”

Samuel showed the level that the water reached in the area where he lives.

A Cuban resident in New Port Richey, Florida, showed the condition in which his belongings and his home were left during the passage of Hurricane Helene through the area.

In a video posted on the social media platform TikTok, the user identified as Samuel said that the sudden flooding caused by Helene resulted in a "total loss" of his belongings.

Samuel also showed the level that the water reached and how he didn't have anywhere to put his puppies, which even affected the vehicles he has at home.

The Cuban, in another video, also warned that the majority of the city's inhabitants were affected by the force of the water brought by this weather system.

Helene, which made landfall last Thursday as a category 4 hurricane in the Big Bend region of Florida, has left nearly a hundred deaths and a trail of destruction across the southeastern United States.

With winds of up to 140 mph (225 kph), the natural phenomenon struck Florida on Thursday night before moving rapidly toward Georgia, the Carolinas, and Tennessee.

The sheriff of Pinellas County, Bob Gualtieri, indicated that all the victims in his county were in neighborhoods that had been evacuated. Many decided not to leave their homes, facing critical situations as they were forced to take refuge in their attics to escape the rising waters, he explained.

Helene swept away trees, houses, and overflowed rivers, causing severe flooding.
