"Let’s pray for his life to be saved, that is all we want": Alexander Delgado on El Taiger's condition.

The leader of Gente de Zona was one of the artists who went to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami after learning what had happened to El Taiger.

Alexander Delgado appeared visibly affected by the critical condition of his colleague El Taiger, who is currently fighting for his life after being shot this Thursday in Miami.

In a video shared by journalist Alexis Boentes (@aboentes51), the leader of Gente de Zona expressed his concern and pain regarding what happened, describing the event as a "tragedy" for the genre and for the followers of Cuban urban music.

"This is a hard blow for me, not only for all the Cubans who follow his music, for all his friends, and for the entire genre. I think it's a tragedy, no one wants something like this to happen," the singer commented outside Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, where several artists gathered after the dramatic news of the shooting of El Taiger broke.

"The only thing we need is support, nothing more. I have seen people on social media speculating, nobody knows anything, we are here, we don't know anything. Let's pray for their life to be saved, that's the only thing we want," concluded Delgado, calling for unity, harmony, support, and a chain of prayers.

On his own wall, Alexander also shared a photo of both of them smiling, along with a message that clearly expresses his shock at the events, as well as his hope and desire that all of this ultimately ends up being just a big scare.

"I know that God is going to give you the opportunity to be well and with us again. Stay strong, you are a warrior! I'm waiting for you here, don't let me down!" he said.

His group mate Randy Malcom also expressed his shock on social media and went to the hospital this Thursday to inquire about the condition of El Taiger, with whom he has had a relationship for over 20 years.

The news has generated a wave of solidarity among Cuban musicians and artists: El Micha and Wow Popy quickly went to the hospital, while others like Jacob Forever, Randy Malcom, Chacal, Osmani García, Oniel Bebeshito, and Willy Chirino, among many others, have been sharing messages of support on their social media, joining the prayer chains for the reggaeton artist's recovery.

Some like El Yonki, El Chacal, Wampi, and Wow Popy have decided to suspend their performances or postpone releases to show their support for El Taiger in this difficult time.

According to the latest reports, El Taiger's condition remains "extremely critical and the coming hours are crucial to determine if he survives," reported journalist Daniel Benítez this Friday in a report where he added that the Miami police were interviewing a person "in connection with this incident."
