Cuban comedian Ulises Toirac expressed his sorrow after the passing of José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar, artistically known as El Taiger, dedicating an emotional message in which he highlights the immortality of the artist through his music.

Toirac, in his Facebook post, clarified that he was not referring to Carbajal with his stage name, as he felt it represented a lifestyle that he did not fully understand, and that perhaps was part of what led to that tragic outcome.

He emphasized that as long as El Taiger's music continues to move his followers, his legacy will remain alive. However, he noted that the one who passed away was a young man full of dreams, passionate about his family and his career.

In his words, he condemned violence and destructive feelings such as envy and ambition, emphasizing that the tragedy was the result of multiple factors, beyond the act committed by the direct aggressor.

Minutes after the sad news was announced, numerous artists and personalities have reacted to the news on social media.

The diva of the Buena Vista Social Club, Omara Portuondo, expressed her sorrow over the artist's passing, saying: "I am very sorry for what happened and I send my sincere condolences to the family and friends of this wonderful musician and singer. May he rest in peace."

The reggaeton artist El Micha wrote on Instagram: "This is how I will always remember you, old friend, how sad my brother, how sad," and accompanied the emotional message with a smiling photo of El Taiger.

Seidy La Niña asked for peace for her soul on that same social network: "May your soul rest in peace... Light for your spirit, strength for your family."
