The Cuban singer Eduardo Antonio bid farewell to El Taiger with an emotional message in which he dubbed him a "legend" and promised him "the best of goodbyes."
"Keep walking, matador, you are and will be the pillar of Cuba. Many of us love you and will miss you. You are a legend and that is how you will be remembered in History," wrote the Divo de Placetas on Instagram.
"I promise you that you will have the best farewell and that everyone who wants to say goodbye to you will have that opportunity," added the singer, who accompanied his message with a funny video of himself and El Taiger together doing Eduardo Antonio's characteristic pose.
In recent days, the Divo of Placetas had visited a church where he knelt before an effigy of Saint Jude Thaddeus, known as the advocate for impossible causes, to ask for his intervention in favor of the health of the reggaeton singer El Taiger, who was fighting for his life in Miami.
Shortly after that, Eduardo Antonio launched a harsh attack against Alexander Otaola, whom he questioned for his controversial comments about the repercussions El Taiger might suffer after being shot in the head.
The death of El Taiger, which occurred on Thursday afternoon according to official information, has left family, friends, and fans of the popular artist in mourning.
On the outskirts of Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, where El Taiger's health condition was critical, hundreds of fans gathered this week to pray for his recovery, and now that the news of his passing has emerged, they have not ceased to come to the place to mourn his death.
