Ana María Polo demands justice for the death of El Taiger.

"Fly high Taiger! I always had you and will have you in my heart and your music always playing... Now it's our turn to seek justice for your cruel death!" were the heartfelt words published by the doctor to Polo after learning about the reggaeton artist's death.

The Cuban lawyer and presenter Ana María Polo asked this Thursday for justice to be served for the "cruel death" of the reggaeton artist José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar, El Taiger, whom she held in very high regard for his music.

On her Instagram profile, Dr. Polo reacted to the singer's death with a heartfelt message: “Fly high Taiger! I always had you and will always have you in my heart, and your music will always be playing... Now it's our turn to seek justice for your cruel death!”

El Taiger was declared dead this Thursday at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, where he had been hospitalized in critical condition for a week after being shot in the head.

A statement posted on the artist's Instagram page confirmed the fatal outcome for the 37-year-old musician: "Unfortunately, this afternoon, El Taiger was declared dead and has now reunited with his beloved mother in heaven."

The death of the singer has raised a outcry among artists, other figures connected to the Cuban scene, and fans of the artist demanding that justice is served.

Rey El Mago, husband of the singer La Diosa, expressed on his social media: "RIP Jose. I only wish for JUSTICE and that you can truly rest in PEACE. Condolences to the family and may God always protect your daughters."

The Miami police continue to investigate the assault that Carbajal was a victim of last Thursday, which ultimately ended his life.

This Monday, the Miami Police Department offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the whereabouts of citizen Damián Valdez Galloso, known as "El Narra," who is supposedly the main suspect in the shooting case involving the reggaeton artist.

Valdez Galloso, of Cuban nationality, has an extensive criminal record that includes an arrest in 2021 and charges for grand theft. He has also been registered as a sexual offender since 2007 after being accused of having sexual relations with a 17-year-old minor. He has been detained by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at least twice.

This Thursday, shortly after the official profile of El Taiger announced his death, numerous artists and personalities reacted to the news on social media.

While the reggaeton artist fought for his life in a hospital, his fans paid tribute to him, both in Miami and inside Cuba. Outside Jackson Memorial, the first of several vigils was held where they prayed for his recovery and remembered his successes.

Doctor Polo is one of the many figures in the artistic world who has recognized the talent of the Cuban artist. Two years ago, the star of the popular television show "Caso Cerrado" posted a video on her social media of her singing the song "La cura" by El Taiger, accompanied by a guitar. In the end, she can be heard saying, "that song is beautiful."

At another moment, the person filming asked La Polo who El Taiger was, to which she replied: "He's a Cuban reggaeton artist, he has very good songs."

The singer was moved by the lawyer's video, not only because a Cuban figure so recognized in the Hispanic entertainment industry sang his song and praised his music, but also because, in addition, his mom was a devoted follower of Dr. Polo.

El Taiger then dedicated the clip of Dr. Polo singing one of his hits to his mother Magda Zaldívar, who passed away in September 2020 at the age of 53.
