Is there work in Miami? A Cuban asserts that there is, but TikTok users think otherwise.

"Is there work in Miami or is there no work? Because if the stores are opening, companies are growing, it’s a sign that there is work in Miami, which you just don’t want to do," he said at the end.

The Cuban @yudepena shared a list of companies in Miami on TikTok that, according to her, are growing and hiring employees. In the video, she starts by quoting those who say that "there are no jobs in Miami," mocking the negative comments she has heard. She then mentioned companies like Target, Aldi, Didi Discounts, and Costco, which she says offer salaries starting at $15 per hour and great benefits. "So, is there work in Miami or not?" she questions at the end.

But the comments didn't take long to appear, and most users haven't shared @yudepena's enthusiasm. "You apply, and it's just for fun; it's all about connections," commented one user, while another stated, "I'm tired of applying to those places you mentioned, and they've never called me." The complaint about "favoritism" in getting a job was recurring: "Without a connection, it's impossible for them to call you," several said.

Another follower criticized his optimism and reminded that although there is work, it is not always enough: “You can earn $15 or $16 an hour, but it still doesn’t cut it, the cost of living in Miami is extremely high.” In summary, the comments reflect the frustration of many people who, although they apply to the mentioned companies, claim that it is not so easy to find a job if you don’t have a contact to recommend you.

Despite the creator's effort to showcase opportunities, the response was clear: for many, job opportunities in Miami depend more on who you know than on how many applications you fill out.

What do you think?
