Family, friends, fans, and colleagues in music of José Manuel Carbajal, El Taiger, gathered this Saturday at the Church of San Lázaro in Miami to bid a final farewell to the Cuban reggaeton artist.

The funeral service began with a private ceremony featuring the prayers of the church priests, as seen in the live images broadcast by journalist Daniel Benítez.

The coffin with his photo, name, the initials LBMA, and the phrases "forever José" and "the tranka of your country" was covered with a white cloth and was carried to the altar amidst religious chants. The singer's obituary featured a photo of him smiling, as many of his fans and loved ones will remember him.

Jorge Junior, cousin of El Taiger, Marcel Reinosa his manager, and also the members of his team and closest friends were present in this first part of the ceremony.

The leader of Los 4, visibly affected and crying at several moments during the mass, received condolences from the artist's closest ones.

After the private service, his followers entered the church to pay their respects in a ceremony with the body present, where the family allowed the coffin to be opened so that they could see El Taiger's face, thus clearing up the doubts that have circulated on social media following his death on October 10.
