Apparently, the young man may have lost his life violently, presumably caught up in a brawl in which he was inadvertently involved.

The popular Cuban comedian Limay Blanco lamented the death, allegedly violent, of a follower and imitator of his in Ciego de Ávila.

The young man, whose physical resemblance to the comedian astonished Limay himself in 2021, is said to have died during an altercation that occurred this Friday.

"Brother, I just found out. May God hold you in glory. My condolences to your family and friends," expressed Limay on his social networks, sharing a photo of his impersonator.

The comedian did not specify the circumstances or the date of the alleged death of the young person, whose identity also did not emerge.

In response to questions from his followers, the comedian replied: "I was told that he was killed. I think they confused him in a scuffle. He was from Ciego de Ávila."

Upon learning of the existence of an impersonator of him, the comedian said in September 2021: “I have a son stuck in some province.”

Impressed by the young man's striking physical resemblance, Limay shared a brief video on his social media where the young man in question was telling a joke, imitating the comedian's style.

At the time of publishing this note, this editorial has no further details regarding what allegedly happened with the Limay impersonator.

The rise of violence and crime in Cuba, a growing phenomenon despite the authorities' efforts to minimize it and attribute it to alarming messages from social media, has previously prompted the comedian to speak out.

In August, Limay raised his voice to denounce the increase in theft and crime in Cuba, following the theft of a mobile phone that a friend of his experienced.

"This friend had his phone stolen on the bus. They cut his backpack with a knife; he lost all his photos, contacts, and memory videos," said Blanco on his social media, sharing an image of the cut made in the victim's backpack.

In mid-January, he live-streamed a suspicious meeting he had in the early morning while approaching Alamar in his car, accompanied by his wife.

The comedian was calmly driving in his vehicle listening to music when he saw a man lying by the side of the road raising his hand as if to signal for help. Fearing it might be a trick to rob him - reported as common on the roads of Cuba - the comedian did not stop his car.

After being robbed for the third time in his home in mid-July 2023, Limay identified the thief, a neighbor from his neighborhood whom he forgave and helped financially, guided by his faith in God and human redemption.
