A trailer crashed into a bridge in the province of Sancti Spíritus, causing the container it was carrying to become deformed from the hard impact and fall onto the road.
The incident was reported in the Facebook group "ACCIDENTES BUSES & CAMIONES por más experiencia y menos víctimas!" by the user Hander Rodríguez del Río, who believed that the driver must be inexperienced on that route because he ignored the detour before the bridge for trucks.
The height of this bridge, located in the municipality of Jatibonico, is four meters, according to the road signage. However, in the comments on the post, several Cuban drivers claim that it has decreased due to additional layers of asphalt.
Last August, the rear containers of a cargo truck were left without a roof after colliding with the Calabazar bridge in Havana, without any harm to life occurring.
The Howo truck passed under the Calabazar bridge and misjudged the clearance, causing its roof to collapse and fall beside a small horse that had been parked there.
Last year, the container pulling a trailer that crashed into a bridge in the province of Sancti Spíritus was left deformed after the severe impact.
