A Cuban woman reveals the amount she spent on her trip to Cuba: "And I think I might be underestimating it."

A Cuban abroad shares on TikTok the high costs of her trip to Cuba, spending between 6,000 and 7,000 dollars to visit her family and support them amid the economic crisis.

A Cuban living abroad shared her experience on TikTok about her recent trip to her home country, revealing the high expenses she incurred to enjoy her visit and bring gifts to her loved ones.

In a video that has already captured the attention of thousands of users on social media, the woman, identified as Melissa, provides an approximate breakdown of her expenses, claiming that the total could be even higher.

"If I were to tell you everything my husband and I spend in Cuba, I would be here all night," Melissa says in the video, which was uploaded to her TikTok account (@melissahernand407).

Explain that the budget varies depending on the purpose of the trip, whether for tourism or for visiting family. In his case, since it was his first time traveling to Cuba, he wanted to bring "everything" for his family, which significantly increased the expenses.

Melissa estimates that she spent around 5,000 dollars in total, considering all the costs: from the plane tickets and purchases made before departure to the expenses incurred on Cuban soil.

"It depends on the budget and the size of your family," he clarifies, emphasizing that each case can be different. However, he then adds that, considering the days spent in a hotel in Varadero and other additional expenses, the total could have been even higher, estimating that the actual amount was between 6,000 and 7,000 dollars.

Melissa's confession has sparked debate among TikTok users, who are commenting on the economic reality faced by those wishing to return to Cuba and support their families amid the country's economic crisis.

The video reflects how, for many, visiting the island not only represents an emotional reunion but also a significant financial sacrifice.
