Fans of classic motorcycles shared several images showing the marks left by the hurricane on the Guantanamo territory, as well as moments of interaction with the residents of San Antonio del Sur, bringing a touch of joy amid the many hardships experienced by the local community.

After Hurricane Oscar struck the region, many people, including activists and entrepreneurs, mobilized their efforts to assist affected families.

One of them was mattress manufacturer Víctor Escalona, who announced through social media that he would be donating several beds to those who lost everything due to the cyclone's impact.

Johanna Jolá Álvarez, along with her team from the solidarity initiative Huellas, also rallied their efforts and organized a donation drive.

The Cuban diaspora also made its contribution. A Cuban truck driver from Tampa donated a tool kit to a young man in San Antonio del Sur, who became a local hero by assisting in the rescue of a family, thus enabling continued recovery efforts after the hurricane.
