Residents of Havana captured a young man on Friday, accusing him of assaulting teenagers on the street.

Facebook user Martin Serrano shared photos of the individual on his profile, who was tied up by the public with his hands and feet while waiting for the police to arrive.

According to Serrano, the "young offender with criminal instincts" attempted to assault his daughter and three of her classmates in broad daylight while they were studying at the Simón Bolívar basic secondary school in the Santos Suárez neighborhood of Diez de Octubre municipality.

"In the company of another young man who fled, they managed to rob my daughter and another friend of two mobile phones at knifepoint," he detailed.

The victim's father requested that the information be shared to raise awareness about the need to be cautious and not to trust strangers who approach children and adolescents.

"He is not a minor; he is 18 years old. He must face the full weight of the laws," she emphasized.
