The decline of funeral services in Cuba was evident in Alquízar, a municipality in the province of Artemisa, where the body of a resident lay in her home for five hours waiting for transportation to the funeral home.

According to Liuver Mederos's account in the Facebook group "Revolico Alquízar," the deceased, named Martica, passed away at her home around 7:00 am, and she was not taken to the funeral home until noon.

"Thanks to the good Samaritan in that red cart, who offered their services," said Liuver.

But the odyssey of this case didn't end there.

According to the complainant, the mourners were also asked for dust and cement to seal the coffin at the cemetery.

"We must clarify that there is indeed transportation for the leaders of the municipality, PCC, the Administration Council, and the People's Power Assembly. Those do not stop," he questioned.
