Police provide details about the incident that sent Cuban reggaeton artist Chocolate back to prison

The altercation took place around 6:40 a.m. this Thursday.

The police provided details in recent hours about an altercation that occurred this Thursday morning in a residential building in the Brickell area of Miami, which culminated in the arrest of the reggaeton artist Yosvani Sierra Hernández, better known as Chocolate MC.

The incident occurred in apartment 2207 of the building located at 1500 NE Miami Place, around 6:40 a.m. this Thursday.

“The girlfriend calls us saying that she was alone in the apartment when the arrested man shows up with another woman. They start to argue, and she says he grabs her by the arms and pushes her,” explained the spokesperson for the Miami Police in statements to America Tevé.

The victim reported to the authorities that they had been in a polyamorous relationship for a year and a half, but at that moment they did not feel capable of dealing with the situation.

So, what started as a verbal discussion quickly escalated into a physical confrontation, according to the report.

According to the police report -quoted by Telemundo 51- during the argument, Hernández raised his voice and approached the woman in an intimidating manner as she sat on a sofa in the apartment.

Upon getting up, the accused grabbed her tightly by the arms, leaving visible marks, specifically bruises on her arms, forearms, and forehead, which is why the police ordered the arrest of Chocolate.

After the altercation, the woman experienced "dizziness" and hurried out to the building's lobby, where she was assisted by rescue personnel. Although the paramedics offered to take her to a hospital, she declined the offer.

The agents went to the apartment in search of Hernández, but there was no response.

The building manager and the maintenance team collaborated with the officers, who managed to access the home, where they found Chocolate sleeping in a room.

The Cuban reggaeton artist was arrested by the police without incident and taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center (TGKCC) at 12:30 p.m. that same day.

A Chocolate, who is facing a charge of domestic assault, was given a bail of $1,000.
