Residents of Miami now have the opportunity to purchase gourmet food prepared in a restaurant that is operated by robots.

Better Days Robotic Kitchens offers high-quality dishes at prices ranging from four to fifteen dollars.

The recipes are created by human chefs, who chop and season the ingredients and place them in batches, packaged with the formulas on the labels.

According to Ryan Ramseyer, the general manager of the establishment, when orders are received, the robots equipped with artificial intelligence prepare the dishes, taking only two to four minutes by using three different heating methods; they measure weight and humidity to achieve precise cooking.

"These ovens have a deceptively simple appearance, but in reality, they communicate with the robotic arm and the freezers," Ramseyer detailed to Local 10.

"Using artificial intelligence, our ovens can cook food precisely so that nothing is ever overcooked or undercooked. As a final step, we perform a thermal scan of all dishes to ensure they are cooked to perfection," he added.

Better Days... operates solely as a pickup service and can be accessed through food delivery applications such as Uber Eats and DoorDash.

The venue promotes itself on its social media as a kitchen that serves good and tasty food at sustainable prices for daily consumption, thanks to the combination of robotics, artificial intelligence, and culinary engineering.

Customers can enjoy salmon, chicken, beef meatballs, and macaroni, as well as rice, vegetables, and desserts. There are simple dishes available, and the "Better Meal" option includes a main dish and two sides for between 12 and 15 dollars

Ramseyer noted that the robot is capable of providing service 24 hours a day. "We do not generate any waste in our system thanks to the way it is configured," he said.

In 2021, the popular Cuban restaurant Sergio's Restaurant in Miami-Dade became the first of its kind to have a robot waiter.

The debate soon reached the social media of Cuban customers, many of whom questioned whether this acquisition has resulted in a lost job for a human. Others pointed out that tipping will no longer be necessary, or that the business owner saved the cost of a salary by using this robot.

In the United States, numerous bars and restaurants have started to incorporate these machines in customer service. However, many people prefer to visit establishments where human and personalized interaction is a priority.
