The popular gastronomic place for Cuban foodSergio´s Restaurant, in Miami-Dade, became the first of its kind to have a robot waiter.
The profileOnly in Dade, on the social network Instagram, shared a short video in which you can see the robot in action, carrying the products to a customer.
The debate soon reached the social networks of Cuban clients, many of whom questioned whether with this acquisition a job for a human has been lost.
Other people pointed out that it will no longer be necessary to leave a tip and quite a few argued that the owner of Sergio's has saved paying a salary with this robot.
The robot, however, still requires the participation of humans in order to offer its service. In the kitchen, an order is received, prepared and given to the robot that takes it to the customer's table.
In the United States, many bars and restaurants have begun to incorporate these machines into customer service. However, many people prefer to go to places where humane and personalized treatment is the priority.
On April 1, April Fool's Day in the United States, Sergio's Restaurant launched an advertising campaign, accompanied by Mayor Francis Suárez, in which they committed to being the first to carry thecuban food to space.
It was based on presenting a menu with ingredients that can only be grown on Mars and although it is a joke, it was very well received by its customers, who in addition to celebrating the croquettes, took good laughs home.
"Our customers loved the free sample today of Hispanic Space Food (with ingredients that can only be grown on Mars). As a local restaurant, we think big and inspire others in our community to make their mark on the future. We launched this on April 1. as a fun way of saying that for now it's an April Fool's joke, but the key word is "for now", because you never know, always dream big Miami!", they say from Sergio's. Restaurant on Instagram.
