A tragic accident occurred on Thursday in Chambas, a municipality in Ciego de Ávila, where a two-year-old boy who was riding with his mother on a bicycle lost his life after being struck by a car.

"The mother is pregnant, and for now, she is out of danger. It happened very close to where I live; a machine was passing a cart around a curve, and at that moment, the woman rode onto the road on her bicycle, and the machine hit her," detailed the young Adolfo Rodrigues.
"The boy was 2 years old, he died right there and the mother is in the hospital with a fractured femur; they performed ultrasounds and say that she is not going to lose the pregnancy," he added.
