The prestigious Michelin Guide has added ten new restaurants from Florida to its recommended list, six of them in Miami and four in Orlando.

These inclusions are part of their annual practice of recognizing outstanding establishments before the announcement of their coveted stars, which will be awarded later in 2025.

In this instance, the Michelin Guide evaluated establishments in Miami, Orlando, and Tampa, although no new restaurants were added in Tampa.

Growing recognition

The selected ones from Orlando were Coro (contemporary cuisine); Sorekara (Japanese food); Unigirl (Japanese cuisine) and Ômo by Jônt (contemporary cuisine).

Although being included on the list of recommended establishments does not guarantee a Michelin star, it is a significant step towards this recognition.

In 2024, three Miami restaurants included in the list ended up earning stars: EntreNos in Miami Shores, Ogawa in Little River, and Shingo in Coral Gables.

Currently, Miami boasts 14 Michelin-starred restaurants, including Florida's only two-star restaurant, L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon, located in the Design District.

Florida continues to establish itself as a global gastronomic destination, offering a blend of tradition and innovation.

The Michelin Guide highlights that the list of recommended restaurants in Florida, which now exceeds 140, reflects a unique cultural and culinary diversity, bolstered by the creativity of local and international chefs.

The star winners will be announced in the spring of 2025, although the exact date has not yet been confirmed.
