In the midst of the growing climate of violence and insecurity in Cuba, a young man was injured during an armed robbery in the neighborhood of Luyanó, in Havana.

According to his brother Luis González's post on the social network Facebook, the attack occurred early Wednesday morning, around 3:00 a.m., on Santa Ana Street, between Justicia and Fábrica.

González reported that two armed individuals attacked him, causing injuries to his head and forehead, for which he received 11 stitches (six on the head and another five on the forehead). Fortunately, the victim did not suffer any serious harm.

The brother of the victim tried to obtain security footage from a nearby café, as his brother managed to pull the hood off one of the attackers, which would facilitate identification.

However, the owner of the establishment refused to review the cameras, claiming he was busy. "Only he will know why he didn't want to show the footage," González stated in his post, while also alerting the community about the increasing insecurity in the area.
