The Cuban opposition figure Luis Enrique Ferrer García, brother of former political prisoner José Daniel Ferrer, suffered a traffic accident while driving his truck in the United States.
Luis Enrique shared a video on his Facebook wall in which he is seen in a hospital bed with his neck immobilized.
The injured individual wanted to reassure family and friends after the dramatic accident in which their vehicle ended up overturned on the road.
"I'm fine. Just a few bumps on my knee and body, but nothing serious. A snowplow truck came right in front of my path, and there wasn't enough time to stop," he stated.
Dozens of people sent him their best wishes for recovery.
"Thank you all. I am fine. Nothing serious. A big hug! We will continue forward until the end of the dictatorship," he commented.
The democracy activist in Cuba was one of the prisoners of the Black Spring of 2003, and like his brother, he was sentenced to nearly 30 years in prison.
