A Cuban woman who worked as a masseuse at Trump National in the city of Doral was arrested on Sunday after being accused of allegedly inappropriately touching a 17-year-old teenager while giving him a massage.
The accused, identified as Yasmina Ponce Rodríguez, claimed in court that she did not know the individual was a minor, and argued that "minors cannot receive massages without family supervision."
According to the Doral City Police, on Saturday, officers arrived at Trump National Doral, located at 4400 NW 87th Ave., after receiving reports of a sexual assault involving a minor.
The agents spoke with the victim, who told them that he was a member of the hotel club and frequented the spa. The teenager said he scheduled an appointment with Ponce Rodríguez for a massage, something he had done in the past.
During the massage, the minor was lying on his back on a massage table completely nude, while a sheet covered the lower part of his body.
The victim told the officers that 25 minutes after the massage began, Yasmina Rodríguez moved the sheet, exposing his genital area, and then began to inappropriately massage him.
The victim -according to the report cited by the local press- swatted the woman's hand away, and she stopped.
The massage session continued, and Rodríguez asked the victim if they were "okay."
The two rarely spoke due to a language barrier, the victim said. So there was no verbal exchange between them after the incident.
After finishing the massage, the victim called his girlfriend, who was with the victim's mother. After discussing the incident, they decided to call the police.
Yasmina Ponce Rodríguez was arrested on Sunday and denied the charges against her. She was taken to TGK jail, where a bond of $2,500 was set. At the time of this report, the arrested individual no longer appears in police records.
