A pickup truck violently crashed into a home just before midnight from Sunday to Monday in Kendall, in the southwest of Miami-Dade, causing significant property damage and leaving the driver hospitalized.
The residents of the house fortunately did not suffer any injuries.
According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office (MDSO), the accident was reported around 11:55 p.m. on March 16 at the intersection of Southwest 142nd Avenue and Southwest 24th Street, in the Kendall area.
According to the authorities, the vehicle first jumped the curb, crashed through a white fence of the property, and ended up colliding directly with the side of the house.
After the crash, the black truck was piled on top of a mound of rubble in the backyard of the house, leaving a huge hole visible from the outside.
The Miami-Dade Fire Department responded quickly to the emergency and transported the driver by ambulance to a nearby hospital.

Residents of the area, who emerged alarmed after hearing the sound of the impact, expressed their concern and surprise at what had happened.
"If someone intended to brake, we would have seen the tire marks. We didn't see any, which means this person just went straight ahead. The barrier didn’t even stop them," declared Lina González, a resident of the area, in statements reported by America Tevé.
“They brought him here, put him on the stretcher, and left,” recounted René Martínez, who emphasized the speed with which the paramedics acted.
The authorities have initiated an investigation to clarify the causes of the accident and determine if the consumption of alcohol or other substances was a determining factor.
For now, it has been confirmed that the driver received a ticket for reckless driving.
