A Cuban woman who had been missing since March 15 was found dead this Monday, buried in the yard of her own home in the province of Ciego de Ávila.

The victim -identified as Julia Salvadora Segura Guerra- had multiple stab wounds and, according to preliminary investigations, her husband is the main suspect in the crime.

The tragic event occurred in the municipality of Primero de Enero (more commonly known as Violeta), in the aforementioned province of Avilés

The authorities have arrested the husband of the deceased, who is in custody while forensic experts continue to analyze the crime scene to clarify the details of what happened.

The information was shared on social media by Guillermo Rodríguez Sánchez, based on the testimony of a niece of the victim, who confirmed that Julia was found dead after intense hours of searching.

The family had reported his disappearance on March 16, a day after he was last seen.

Julia was a sick woman, deeply loved by her community, known for her kindness and warm demeanor.
