The Banco Popular de Ahorro (BPA) in Villa Clara issued an urgent alert to its customers this Tuesday to warn about a scammer impersonating a technician for state online payment platforms such as Transfermóvil and Enzona.

"Remember, none of the administrators of @TransfermovilSoporte or those from Enzona will reach out to you privately, much less ask for personal information such as passwords, codes, transfers, or any other type. If someone does, they are a scammer," the banking institution published on its official Facebook page.

The warning is accompanied by a profile picture of the alleged scammer on Telegram. On that platform, the criminal deletes their account each time they are reported and creates new accounts to continue their deception. The ID associated with the scammer is 7456052476.

For several years, scams in online buying and selling have been increasing in Cuba, driven by the rise of e-commerce and the need to acquire foreign currency on the black market. Scammers request banking information or impersonate confirmation messages to deceive their victims.
