At least 12 people died and 5 were rescued alive this Tuesday after a plane from the airline Lanhsa crashed shortly after taking off from the Juan Manuel Gálvez International Airport on the island of Roatán, Honduras.
The Civil Aeronautics of Honduras reported that the incident occurred when a LANHSA aircraft, a Jetstream 41 model with a capacity for 33 passengers, experienced an apparent mechanical failure during takeoff bound for the city of La Ceiba.
