A Cuban citizen publicly reported that she was a victim of a robbery near the Museum of the Revolution, right in the heart of Havana's historic center.
The incident occurred during the early hours of April 6, when the vehicle, designated as a taxi, was parked in an area apparently monitored by authorities.

Mariela García Iglesias, who shared the report on her Facebook profile, explained that the car was parked "right in front of the tank", a notable tourist spot located in the museum. According to her testimony, the site was monitored by police, security guards, and parking attendants, who were even hired to look after the vehicle.
However, at dawn, he discovered that the car had been stripped. The thieves took a music player, speakers, and, most seriously, all the vehicle's documentation, including the taxi license, professional driver IDs, vehicle registration, and work contracts.
This is a classic vehicle, restored and registered as a taxi, of great economic and symbolic value. In the image shared by the claimant, one can see a copper vintage car with a black roof, typical of the old automotive fleet still in circulation on the island and which is part of the Cuban tourist attraction.
“You can no longer trust anyone. May God help us and bless us all,” said the affected individual, who requested to share the message to increase the chances of recovering the documents, in case they are found abandoned somewhere. She made the number 53197669 available for any information that could assist in the recovery.
Also warned: "To all our colleagues, never park there even if it is monitored."
The complaint has already been filed with the relevant authorities, although no progress in the investigation has been reported so far.
This incident, which took place in a heritage area that is usually under heavy surveillance, calls into question the real security in strategic locations of the capital, even those with high tourist traffic and police presence.
