A new surveillance video has shed light on the final hours of life of Jeankerly María Linares Marín, a 27-year-old Venezuelan mother who was murdered on April 7 in Allapattah, in Miami-Dade.

The security camera of the restaurant La Nueva Alameda, located at 27th Avenue and 24th Street in northwest Miami, captured a man whom the employees identified as Luis Montero Moncada, 70 years old, also known as “El Colombiano.”
The video shows how the individual remains seated inside the establishment for at least four hours, watching Jeankerly as she works as a waitress.

The Attack: A Cold-Blooded Execution
In the early hours of Monday, April 7, Jeankerly left the restaurant accompanied by a friend and a man identified as Marlon López, a Nicaraguan national, to buy food from a nearby truck parked at the intersection of Northwest 27th Avenue and 30th Street.
It was there that the tragedy occurred.
Images from another security camera captured the moment when the attacker gets out of a vehicle, walks directly toward the victims, pulls out a weapon, and fires at point-blank range.
According to Officer Ángel Rodríguez from the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office, he first fired at Jeankerly, who fell to the ground, and then fired again to ensure he wouldn't survive.
He then also shot at Marlon López, seriously wounding him, and aimed at the other woman, who managed to escape unharmed.
Both Jeankerly and Marlon were shot at close range. She died at the scene, while he was transferred in critical condition to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he passed away shortly after.
Pursuit and outcome in a hotel
Hours later, after an intensive search, the Sheriff's Office agents managed to locate the suspect at the Extended Stay hotel on 7th Street and 69th Avenue in the northwest part of the county.
The agents attempted to stop him as he was leaving his room and getting into his vehicle, but the man responded by opening fire. In the exchange of gunfire, he was shot down by the authorities. No one else was injured in the incident.
His body was found inside the car and removed from the location by a tow truck.
