CiberCuba Noticias, the main Facebook page of our independent media outlet, surpassed today April 13, 2025 the milestone of 4 million followers. This new achievement reaffirms the strong bond we have built with our audience over a decade and marks another chapter in the sustained growth story of CiberCuba on social media.
Sustained growth over the years
Since our beginnings, we have maintained a strong commitment to truthful information, independent journalism, and service to the Cuban community both on and off the island. In 2017, we enthusiastically celebrated reaching 500,000 followers, a figure we doubled in 2020 when we achieved our first million.
In March 2022, we surpassed two million followers, establishing ourselves as the most-watched media outlet among Cubans on Facebook. A little over a year later, in August 2023, we celebrated three million. Today, after a record-setting year in 2024, we conclude this climb with a new achievement: over four million people follow our main page.
An unprecedented performance in 2025
The progress towards this new milestone has been driven by an exceptional start to the year in terms of reach and performance. Only between March 15 and April 11, 2025, our page CiberCuba Noticias accumulated historical figures:
- Views: 1.000 million (↑ 17.3%). This figure reflects the total number of times our content was viewed. It means that, in less than a month, one billion impressions were made on Facebook, consolidating our massive reach.
- Reach: 11.5 million unique people (↑ 16.9%). This represents how many unique users were impacted by our posts. More than nine million of them were not followers yet, which highlights our content's ability to attract new audiences.
- Interactions: 10.9 million (↑ 27.5%). This includes likes, comments, shares, and other forms of engagement. This growth demonstrates a high level of emotional connection and involvement with our content, especially among those who did not follow us yet (↑ 72.8%).
- New followers: 181,100 people (↑ 31.6%), with a net gain of 160,365 new followers. This rapid increase has been crucial in reaching the milestone of 4 million.
These metrics, combined with the audience achievements and web traffic recorded in March 2025 and throughout the entire year of 2024, are a clear indication of the sustained and growing impact of CiberCuba as the leading digital media among Cubans.

In times marked by censorship, repression against independent media, and the information crisis on the island, our continued growth is a testament to the fact that our commitment to truth and editorial independence resonates with the public.
