A Cuban who was driving a "riquimbili" died in the Havana municipality of Boyeros in the early hours of Sunday after colliding with a Yutong bus from behind.
According to reports on social media, the driver -known to his friends as "El Kisley"- is said to have fallen asleep while driving the light vehicle, leading to the tragic incident.
The accident occurred on 100th Street, after the Calabazar bridge, in front of the military buildings, an area noted by some locals as especially dangerous.
“This news is not easy to bear this morning. A good person, a joker, always with the charisma that defined you; a fighter, a hard worker, a noble person. Rest in peace, my brother.”, lamented content creator Alexander Ríos Cruz, childhood friend of the victim, on social media.

The victim was originally from the town of Arroyo Blanco, in Jatibonico, Sancti Spíritus.
