O. P. was arrested on Monday night and faces charges of attempted robbery, breaking and entering, and property damage.

An order of food that triggered anger

According to the arrest report issued by the South Miami Police and cited by the local press, the conflict arose when O. P. became visibly upset over the delay in preparing his order, which consisted of a burrito and a quesadilla totaling $14.49.

An employee of the restaurant told the officers that at the time of the altercation, he was attending to another order, specifically one for $21.41, at the delivery window for another driver.

It was at that exact moment when O. P. must have lost patience.

According to the same report, the delivery person yanked the bag of food that the employee was holding, causing its contents to spill onto the floor.

The situation escalated further when, according to the same employee, O. P. broke the latch of the service window during the altercation.

This act was classified as property damage, one of the three charges faced by the Cuban.

The police responded to the call at the restaurant at 11:20 p.m. on Monday, proceeding with the arrest of the involved party.

Records from the Miami-Dade County Sheriff's Office indicate that O. P. was admitted to the Turner Guilford Correctional Center (TGK) shortly before 2:40 a.m. on Tuesday.

The authorities have formally charged him with attempted robbery with violent force, breaking and entering, and property damage.

During his appearance before the court this Tuesday, a county judge ruled that O. P. must stay away from the Taco Bell employee, who is considered the victim in this case. The judge also imposed a bail of $3,500.
