Cuban boxer Yordenis Ugás celebrated his son's tenth birthday this Tuesday with a heartfelt public message, reflecting on fatherhood, the importance of respecting mothers, and his unconditional love for his little boy, who is on the autism spectrum.

Through his social media, the former world champion shared a video of a video call with his son, accompanied by a heartfelt message in which he reflects on how the arrival of the child marked a turning point in his life.

"Happy birthday to my son Jr. Ten years ago he came into my life when I had nothing. He brought luck, strength, and the extra that I had been missing until that moment," wrote the athlete.

In his post, Ugás also expressed his respect for the child's mother, with whom, he confessed, he has had many differences over the years, but to whom he will always be grateful for her dedication and commitment.

"I always say to respect the mother of your children. While dad goes out with friends, gets a fever, or has a headache, and uses that as an excuse... mom is always there for them, no matter what happens," he reflected.

The boxer acknowledged the challenges they have faced as a family, especially due to their son's special needs, and reiterated his gratitude and unconditional love for the little one.

"Thank you for being my son, I would choose you 1,000 times over. Happy birthday, my little Jr of my life. God bless you," she concluded.

Yordenis Ugás, one of the most recognized Cuban boxers in recent times, has always been very private about his personal life. However, on this occasion, he wanted to open his heart to his followers and pay tribute to both his son and to responsible and present motherhood.
