Without rice, without gas, and waiting for coal: This is how Santiago de Cuba is

What does the future hold for the people of Santiago? Authorities confirm that there is neither rice nor gas, and we can only wait for charcoal while the shortage drags on with no clear end in sight.

Santiagueros Can Only Hope for a Miracle: as scarcity hits hard, the province continues to receive neither rice nor liquefied gas, and is now also waiting for the arrival of charcoal, as confirmed by official sources.

José Yaser Centray Soler, spokesperson for the regime and director of the station CMKC Radio Revolución, reported via Facebook that there is no availability of liquefied gas in Santiago de Cuba.

Once the fuel arrives in the territory, “the population will be informed through official media,” specified the broadcaster sympathetic to the dictatorship.

On the other hand, efforts are also being made to ensure a supply of charcoal for sale to the public, a measure that clearly indicates a prolongation of the scarcity situation faced by the population.

Once this product is in stock, the sales mechanism will be communicated, the spokesperson explained, which raises concerns that there will also be a shortage of this product.

The situation is not better with food distribution: the rice for the completion of the Standard Family Basket is still not in stock.

The authorities responsible for its distribution told the state press that they will inform as soon as the product is available in the province's warehouses.

Meanwhile, the distribution of powdered milk for children continues, according to the rationing policy.

Recently, the authorities of the Provincial Government of Santiago de Cuba have denied information circulating on social media about a supposed sale of liquefied gas in freely convertible currency (MLC) and the elimination of the regulated bread for adults.

During a meeting led by Governor Manuel Falcón Hernández, it was clarified that both versions are false rumors, lacking official basis, reported TeleTurquino on its official Facebook profile.
