"I spit it out": Chocolate MC recounts his intense face-to-face encounter in prison with El Taiger's killer

The reggaeton artist did not want to answer the question that many are asking: Why, despite his multiple arrests, has he not been deported to Cuba? "That's a secret."

The Cuban reggaeton artist Yosvany Sierra, professionally known as Chocolate MC, gave an exclusive interview with Yusnaby Rodríguez from Telemundo 51, just days after being released from prison.

In the conversation, he revealed that he had a meeting with Damián Valdés Galloso, who is accused of the murder of fellow reggaeton artist El Taiger.

An unexpected encounter in prison

According to Chocolate MC, he and Valdés Galloso were in the same module at the TGK detention center, and the experience had a profound impact on him.

"I spat it out. He stared at me... he was laughing, as if he was happy. That's when I realized everything," he expressed.

This meeting was shocking, as the reggaeton artist was arrested for allegedly inciting the murder of Valdez Galloso, accusations he denies.

Mental health and the pressures of fame

Beyond the legal accusations, the reggaeton artist took the opportunity during the interview to open up about his mental health, a topic that is rarely discussed among public figures.

He recounted how pressure and loneliness led him to dark moments, even to thoughts of death. "It got into my head that I had to die. But I heard something telling me: seek God. And I sought Him," he confessed, noting that this moment of reflection was a turning point in his life.

Despite not considering himself a "new man," Chocolate assures that he has begun to change for the sake of his family and his children. "I know it's time to change habits," he said.

Facing multiple charges

The singer is currently facing four active charges in Florida. In addition to the allegation of solicitation of murder, he is also accused of domestic violence, armed kidnapping, and sexual assault.

In the interview, he defended himself against these charges and questioned the attitude of the authorities: "They put an ankle monitor on me and canceled my tour. Who takes care of my children?" he stated.

After so much time going in and out of prison, many Cubans wonder why he has not been deported to Cuba.

"That's a secret. Some of us know it, but if I say it, it'll cause a stir," he said.

Upcoming court hearings

Despite being free on bail, Chocolate MC has several pending court hearings. In the coming weeks, he will have to face justice for the charges against him.

The Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office claims that up to $100,000 was offered to assassinate Valdés Galloso, but he has vehemently denied these accusations, asserting that the threats made on social media were misinterpreted.

In the interview with Telemundo 51, he stated that he is focused on his music and on staying calm.

"I'm going to try to get back on track. Let's see if the Police leave me alone," he expressed.

Additionally, he expressed his desire to one day organize a festival in Cuba: "If one day the Plaza de la Revolución stops being called Plaza de la Revolución, I would like to organize a distribution festival there," he said.
