President Donald Trump surprised everyone on Friday by announcing his intention to build a luxurious and modern ballroom in the White House, an idea that he claims has been desired by leaders for over 150 years but has never come to fruition due to the "lack of experience" of his predecessors.

"I just inspected the site for the new Ballroom that will be built, courtesy of a man known as Donald J. Trump, at the White House. For 150 years, presidents and others have wanted a beautiful ballroom, but it was never built because no one had the knowledge or experience to do this kind of thing — but I do!" he said in a message posted on his official Truth Social account.

Trump, known for his background in real estate and the construction of luxury hotels and resorts, claimed that the project "will rise quickly" and will be "a wonderful addition, very much in tune with the grandeur of the White House."

The president added that it is one of the "fun projects" he can undertake while considering global issues such as the world economy, China, Russia, and other countries.

“Everything will be fine, perhaps even GREAT!, depending on who the president of the U.S. is,” he added, injecting a note of humor amid the serious accusations that the magnate Elon Musk made against him on Thursday.

Although Trump stated that the construction would be "courtesy" of himself, he has not provided concrete details about the project's funding.

The exact location of the new hall has not been revealed either, but architects speculate that it could be connected to the southern part of the main building, possibly near the South Garden, a traditional area for official receptions.

In February, Trump offered to build the hall, an idea he proposed during his first term, and it was reported that the initiative would cost 100 million dollars.

He said on that occasion that he wanted to build a hall "like the one I have in Mar-a-Lago," his grand mansion in Florida, to put an end to the receptions held in "rotten tents" on the lawn.
