The family of 30-year-old Yasiel Amador López, a resident of Guanajay in the province of Artemisa, has been desperately searching for him since his disappearance 18 days ago.
In an email sent to the editorial team of CiberCuba, her sister Yanet Amador López reported that the young man left his home on May 24 and has been missing since then. “He left for work and did not return; we have been desperately searching for him since that day,” she stated.
He specified in his letter that Amador suffers from schizophrenia and “is disoriented, does not know his name or where he lives”, which is why -he claimed- “the only way to find him is to spread the information because the PNR has done nothing up to this point.”
Despite having reported the disappearance to the Police, the family has not received any response from the authorities regarding the young man, after more than two weeks of being missing.
The sister told the independent site CubaNet that Amador was wearing black jeans, a gray sweater, red sneakers, a cap, and a black backpack when he left his home, and that his cell phone has been off since that day.
The young man is "not aggressive" and acknowledges that he is "disoriented," his sister stated. Amador was seen on May 26, 28, and 30, in the area between Finca El Americano and Chacón, in the municipality of Guanajay.
Anyone with information that could help locate him can contact Yanet at 53391963, or also call his mother, Manda López, at 59305988.
I am desperately searching everywhere, we are devastated, the sister expressed in her email, pleading for help to spread the alert that will enable them to find her brother.
In a post from May 25, in the Facebook group “Revolico Artemisa,” a reward was offered for anyone who provides information about Amador's whereabouts.
Search for this young man, who has been missing since yesterday at 11 in the morning. He is from Guanajay but may be in Artemisa or any other location. If you see him, please call 59305988; a reward will be given, the text stated.
