The Cuban-American content creator @laguantanamera5, known as La Guantanamera on TikTok, has once again stirred things up with a recipe that is making mouths water worldwide: yuca with crispy pork rinds and traditional mojo.
In her latest video, which has already garnered thousands of reactions and comments, the chef shares the secret to achieving golden and perfect chicharrones. The technique she uses is to boil the meat with skin and fat for 30 minutes, dry it thoroughly, and then fry it.
The result, according to its followers, is “crazy” and “makes you smile with every bite,” because just watching this video "makes your mouth water," as Cubans often say.
The dish is completed with a generous serving of homemade yuca with mojo, which adds the citrus touch of lemon and the aromatic flavor of garlic, highly appreciated in the island's traditional cuisine.
