A Cuban who lived in Miami for 15 years recently decided to move to Cape Coral, in southwestern Florida, in search of a quieter and more affordable life.

His testimony, captured in a street interview published on TikTok, has gone viral for his straightforward remarks about the situation in Miami.

"Around a month ago, I moved here," said the man when approached by a real estate agent while walking through a residential area. When asked where he had relocated from, he answered without hesitation: "From Miami."

When the interviewer asked him to explain the differences between both cities, the Cuban did not hesitate to say that they were "180 degrees" apart and then elaborated: "First of all, Miami is a disaster. It's not for nothing; I've been living in Miami for 15 years, but when it comes to jobs, traffic, everything is too, extremely expensive."

According to him, what led him to make the decision was his desire to live in a more peaceful environment. "I prefer tranquility. And I found that here," he said, referring to Cape Coral, where he now lives with his family.

The video was posted on the TikTok account @yuleystivenrealestatefl, which specializes in real estate content in Florida. The post has generated dozens of comments from users who agree with its analysis of the high cost of living in Miami.

In recent years, many Cuban and Latin American families have been forced to move from cities like Miami due to rising rents and increasing urban congestion, seeking more affordable options in other areas of the state.
