A Cuban resident in the United States revealed in a TikTok video the reason he was fired from his new job: forgetting to wear jeans.
It all happened on his third day at work. The young man, named Osmel, mistakenly showed up in sweatpants instead of the required denim ones.
His supervisor indicated that he couldn't work like that, to which he responded that he would go buy one. However, he was temporarily relocated to an area where supposedly no one would see him.
Despite that measure, the situation escalated quickly. Osmel recounted that he still doesn't know how, but the boss, whom he doesn't know, found out and ordered the supervisor to fire him.
The measure took him by surprise and had immediate consequences: he had to return to the job he had previously left, working in a kitchen, but in a lower position and with worse conditions.
"In the end, I had to quickly decide to return to the restaurant kitchen, but not in the position I had before, rather in a worse one, with a different schedule... but I had to do it because here you can't stop looking for money," he confessed.
It was supposed to be a week of progress, but his lack of discipline caused him to fall behind.
With a reflective tone, he concluded his message with a lesson for his followers.
"I share this so you can see that life isn't perfect and there are moments when you stumble. Take this lesson to heart: if you have a job and need to wear jeans, remember me and put on your jeans," she emphasized.
Her story has generated reactions, but most of the comments emphasize the need to adhere to the rules in the workplace.
"This country, my friend, is governed by laws," stated a user.
"That's right, and there are times when no mustaches, shaved for some jobs," recalled another.
"Here, you have to wear the uniform. One day, I wore a blue sweater and had to change into a black one; I thought it was fine because at one point they gave it to us, but it was no longer allowed," recounted an elderly woman.
"It wasn't the pants, it was that you didn't follow the rules," clarified another internet user.
