The anguish over the disappearance of Doraiky Águila Vázquez, a 48-year-old woman residing in Lawton, Havana, remains unchanged nearly six months after she went missing on March 15, 2025.

This Wednesday, her mother shared a new message on Facebook, where she wrote: “God, I pray and sincerely ask you that the miracle be finding my daughter Doraiky Águila Vázquez, who has been missing from home since March 15.”

The outcry reflects the desperation of a family that has not received clear answers from the authorities. Doraiky left her home in Lawton in the early morning and has not been seen since.

Her family offered a reward of 350,000 CUP to anyone who could provide reliable information regarding her whereabouts and shared several contact numbers (76039226, 50255751, 56949667, and 59696001).

The woman is suffering from transient memory loss, which increases the concern among her relatives and feminist organizations.

The collective Yo Sí Te Creo en Cuba and the Gender Observatory of Alas Tensas activated the Yeniset Alert, a search mechanism used in cases of prolonged disappearances of women.

During these months, the mother has intensified her public pleas, begging for help to find her daughter's whereabouts. “My life is slipping away as I wait for my daughter,” she wrote in another post.

At the end of July, the official Cuban press reported on the case, although without providing any updates on the investigations. The family, on the other hand, insists that there are no explanations or results, while the uncertainty and pain continue.

Doraiky Águila is a mother, wife, and daughter, with two children waiting for her at home. Her family is asking anyone who sees her to provide information immediately, to ensure this case does not fall into silence.
