A young Cuban living in the United States shared on TikTok the experience of his American girlfriend trying some of the most representative dishes of Cuban cuisine for the first time.

"Today my American girlfriend took on the challenge of trying Cuban food. What dish should I give her next time?" wrote the content creator in the post, which quickly began to accumulate thousands of views and comments.

The first test was the classic rice congrí with roasted pork, which the young woman rated a solid 9 out of 10, showing that the flavor won her over. Next came the croquettes, which she loved and that brought an immediate smile to her face.

Later, her partner wanted to take a bit more of a risk and offered her a glass of pru oriental, a fermented drink very popular in Cuba.

Her reaction was clear: “It’s different, but I like it,” she said with laughter, showing that she was open to continuing to explore the diverse flavors of Creole cuisine.
