The community of Santiago de Cuba is on alert following the disappearance of 11-year-old Cristian, who left his home four days ago and has not yet returned.
His mother, Yuli Pérez, is desperately searching for her son all over the city and is pleading for the help of the community, according to information shared by the Cuban Yasser Sosa Tamayo on social media.
Cristian has been seen in various parts of the city, wandering with other children and begging for money, which exposes him to multiple dangers on the streets, the post notes.
Her mother is on the brink of madness, crying his name at every corner. She has two more children, and her heart breaks with every minute that passes without news, wrote Sosa, who has also called for the active collaboration of the citizens.
If anyone sees him, the internet user urgently requests that you do NOT let him go, that you try to keep him safely and contact immediately his mother or those who are assisting in his search.
Direct contact for Cristian's mother: +53 5153 5207.
The community is also requested to share this information widely on social media, WhatsApp groups, and local media so that the alert reaches as many people as possible.
"The disappearance of a child is a critical situation that requires the immediate response of everyone. Every minute counts. Every share can save a life," warned the author of the post.
In recent years—coinciding with the increase in violence in Cuba—reports of missing persons have become common, causing concern among families who, lacking an official channel to raise awareness about these cases, desperately turn to social media and independent media for help in locating their loved ones.
